431art – Haike Rausch & Torsten Grosch
“Botanical Powwow” and “Micromuseum for the Future” are two tents that invite visitors to experience, imagine and reflect on the future coexistence of plants and humans in a shared urban space. The ‘powwow’, as a ritual form of gathering, is transformed into a temporary laboratory of the future as well as into a micro-museum – the “Micromuseum for the Future”. The ‘Botanical Powwow’ can be experienced during a ritual performance. The “Micromuseum for the Future”, on the other hand, can be visited individually during its opening hours. This permanently changing, temporary museum houses both natural finds and superfluous objects of our civilization, which are stripped of their meaning, visually reinterpreted and transformed.
The work ties in with the artistic utopia and long-term study botanoadopt®, which opposes the common views of nature with a new perspective, subtly shifts contexts and connects them with science and art. The project consists, among other things, of botanoadopt®, an online platform for plant adoption, and other artistic formats, such as actions in public space, installations and book publications.
